Alright, everyone always set these goals and resolutions before new years. & honestly I think people are stupid because MOST of them set unrealistic or unreachable goals. & by MOST I include myself. Therefore, I DON’T set one. However, this year has been the worst year in the 23 years of my existence. Trust me, I AM NOT EXAGGERATING.
So my 2011 resolution, well it’s more of a goal, is to work on ME. Everything I do and everyday I live will be for and about me. I’m not being selfish because the things that are included in me are my family, support system and (pursuing my) career. These things will always be MY foundation and they will not change nor leave my life. But I want to look at the BIG picture. It’s going to be more of me working from the inside out.
A few days ago I had an epiphany, I wanted to pursue a career in fashion (i.e. Fashion Marketing or Fashion Merchandising). I enjoy my job at H&M (5 years in February) and everything fashion has to offer. Therefore, I am going to stick it out with retail and know that in time I will make it in the big leagues. It’s a matter of taking baby steps in order to reach greatness. With that I have to learn to be patience. But once again a part of me working on me.
So here’s to 2011. To leaving 2010 behind and never looking back. To becoming the best person I can be. To doing everything in my power to reach the next step in my career. To a year I will always remember.

Yes, I am in love with my best friend. His name is Tim Tolentino. I don’t care if you think this is dumb/gay/cheesy/think love is stupid/cynical/whatever. One day you will find someone who will just surprise you in every way, call you out on stupid mistakes, and love you for who you are. Imperfections and all.
I found him. I didn’t see him at first, but I did and now I’m happy to be in love with my best friend.

while in the carolinas relaxin’, i finished “Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.” the book was entertaining if you like hearing funny stories about people’s lives. in this book his stories were mainly about himself and his family. he’s an entertain guy.
next up: “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell”
(always wanted to read the book but was iffy about it until an old coworker of mine said she enjoyed it and let me borrow/keep it. this should be good)
